Stellantis announces the arrival of the FIAT Titano in Algeria.
The Titano was inspired by the entity from Greek mythology that Zeus and the other Olympian gods faced in their rise to power. In addition, the assonance with the name of the metal titanium, one of the strongest used by the industry, conveys a feeling of resistance and durability.
Designed to meet the most diverse needs of customers in different markets, the Fiat Titano appears as a model of versatility and technology, it aims to be a competitor to the Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200.
The general lines are borrowed from its twin Peugeot Landtrek, as widely expected, but add characteristic Fiat elements.
Taking Landtrek's measurements into account, the Titan will likely be around 5.33 meters long, 1.96 meters wide, 1.82 meters high, and have a wheelbase of 3.18 meters. The pick-up, remember, was born from a project carried out by Peugeot in partnership with the Chinese company Changan on the basis of the Kaicheng F70 model.
On the Brazilian market, where the brand has remained in the lead since the start of the year, the Fiat Titano joins the Strada and Toro pick-up family. Designed to move with ease on rough terrain, this pick-up is intended to be a formidable everyday companion, with a vocation to meet all professional requirements, including those in the agricultural sector.
In Algeria, the Fiat Titano pickup takes a different approach and emphasizes low fuel consumption, in line with the brand's commitment to providing tailor-made solutions that meet the specific requirements of each market. By combining technology and design and promoting an optimal driving experience, the new Fiat Titano pick-up joins the wide range of professional vehicles offered by FIAT.
It will be produced in the new FIAT factory in the Wilaya of Oran in western Algeria and will be available for pre-order from December 7, 2023.
