GEELY
Geely or more precisely Zhejiang Geely Holding Group is a global automotive group headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, southeast China. The group was founded in 1986 by Li Shufu and entered the automobile industry in 1997 with its Geely Auto brand. It sells its vehicles under the brands Geely Auto, Lotus, Lynk & Co, Proton and Volvo. In 2018, the group sold more than 1.5 million cars.
The Geely group has made numerous acquisitions of automobile manufacturers such as Volvo Cars in 2010 from Ford, the British taxi manufacturer The London Electric Vehicle Company in 2013 and the British automobile manufacturer Lotus Cars in 2017.
