The National Company for the Marketing and Distribution of Petroleum Products (Naftal) will import 1.5 million tires from Germany, as part of the implementation of the decision taken by the public authorities last August.

In this context, a commercial contract was signed Monday in Algiers between Naftal and the German tire manufacturer Continental for the importation of one million units for passenger vehicles in the first phase.
The products will come with all the necessary certificates of conformity and meet all quality standards.
In a second phase, approximately 500,000 units for heavy goods vehicles will be imported within a few days.

The implementation of this partnership will offer consumers "premium quality tires at competitive prices," with estimated price reductions of between 35% and 55% for products in the same category. "This will contribute to a significant price decrease," he assured.

Naftal also announced that a second contract, for the import of 4.5 million tires, will be launched before the end of this year. This contract will cover 3 million units for passenger vehicles and 1.5 million for heavy trucks.
Sales will be conducted through Naftal's distribution network, which includes more than 2,000 points of sale nationwide.
